Learning Outcomes Assessment Workshop

The Office of Learning Analytics and Outcomes Assessment (LAOA) hosted an online workshop earlier this year on February 4th. This workshop is part of a series that has been going on for 9 years, since the Spring of 2017.

The purpose of the Program-Level Learning Outcomes Assessment workshop is to create a space for those doing assessment to receive feedback on their ideas or processes. Those in attendance can learn and get ideas for their own assessment work as well. All programs are required by University policy to assess their learning outcomes three times during the seven-year program review cycle, and the University’s accreditors also expect to see significant evidence of these assessments during their visits.

This year, there were presentations from Stacy Manwaring in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Lisa Henry Benham from the School of Architecture and Planning, and Melody Krahulec from Nursing. Mark St. Andre also shared details on the assessment tools that have been built in-house to increase the efficiency of the assessment process. Learn more about these tools here.

Please send any questions to Mark St. Andre, or let him know if you are interested in presenting at the next assessment workshop!
