The Office of Undergraduate Studies at the University of Utah has announced Dr. Taylor D. Sparks as the recipient of the 2022 Professor John G. Francis Prize for Undergraduate Student Mentoring. The prize is a $1000 award given to a University of Utah faculty member who has shown extraordinary efforts in mentoring students outside the classroom.

The Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative at the University of Utah seeks to strengthen the teaching of principle-based ethics, promotes the practical application of ethics-based principles in the curriculum, provides student opportunities to practice ethical leadership and ethical decision-making, and engages the business community.

The Utah College Advising Corp (UCAC) collaborated with Granite School District to host over 200 high school seniors at the University of Utah last week. Granite Senior Day gathered seniors from eight high schools across Granite School District. These students include those who have been accepted to the U for the upcoming fall semester, as well as any who have expressed an interest in pursuing higher education. The event provides students with an opportunity to explore campus and learn about the various resources the U has to offer.

As part of its theme year on “Rebuilding,” MUSE (My “U” Signature Experience) will welcome Chris Wilson to campus on April 14, 2022. As a teenager, Wilson was sentenced to life in prison without parole. Now, he is a successful entrepreneur, storyteller, artist, and social justice advocate.
