Michael Komigi
Michael Komigi is a graduating senior majoring in environmental studies and anthropology
at the U. He will also receive a minor in urban ecology. Komigi is a transfer student
and often involved himself in the Crimson Transfer Honors Society.
“I am a student who is pursuing a balance between academic performance and fun activities
outside of class,” Komigi said.
Komigi utilized the Office of Undergraduate Research, Utah Global, and Transfer Student
Success during his undergraduate studies. He shared that the Office of Undergraduate
Research supported him by allowing him to participate in several projects and providing
assistance with his research.
Paul Fisk, Dr. Tabitha Benney, Dr. Polly Wiessner, Dr. Maile Arvin, and Dr. Tom Kraft
supported Komigi during his education.
Komigi also plays soccer at the U. He enjoys playing the sport and meeting players
from different nations.
After graduation, Komigi will be applying for jobs in the US, but is considering doing
a master's program in Australia. He also hopes to build a school one day.
