Kishan Thambu
Kishan Thambu is a computer science and biology student graduating from the U this
spring. He sees himself as caring, passionate, resourceful, and funny. He is a first-generation
student and strives to give back to his community.
During his undergraduate studies, Thambu was part of several campus organizations,
including the Center for Campus Wellness, Learn + Earn, the Office of Undergraduate
Research, and Connect2Health, among others. Thambu mentioned that the undergraduate
programs have supported him in many ways.
Thambu received support from family, friends, staff, and faculty.
“With Connect2Health, I love being part of a student-led community to provide social
services by connecting individuals with resources to meet their social needs,” Thambu
said.
Outside of the classroom, Thambu enjoys following the NBA, F1, skiing with friends,
and traveling. He is also passionate about mental health awareness.
After receiving his degree, Thambu will undertake an internship in Germany, focusing
on software that analyzes the movement of people with neurological disorders. He also
hopes to travel and apply to medical school.
