Katelyn McKemy
Katelyn McKemy is a graduating nursing major at the U. She served on the leadership
board of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and has tutored at the Learning Center for
three years. Katelyn describes herself as compassionate, intelligent, kind, and loving.
McKemy shared that she found great support from the Learning Center and the Learn
+ Earn program during her undergraduate studies and encourages current students to
utilize the resources offered to them.
“The Learning Center allowed me to find faculty on campus that cheered me on when
I needed it. Learn & Earn was a fantastic opportunity to help ease the financial burden
of college,” McKemy said.
In her free time, McKemy enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, and
being outdoors. She said that finding time to practice mindfulness has also been important
to her due to her busy school schedule.
Post-graduation, McKemy plans to stay in the Salt Lake Area and find a job at the
U’s hospital.
