First Year Step 2 the U Students

Classes & Schedule

Classes will begin June 6th, 2022 for first year students and are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the University of Utah Main Campus in Salt Lake City. Last day of classes will be August 8th, 2022.

Registration

Each student will receive a customized class schedule including which cohort they will participate in by Saturday, March 12th. First year students will be automatically registered by Step 2 the U administration and will receive email confirmation to the one on their application. First year students will need to pay their tuition and fees to the Alta High School Main Office by Wednesday, March 30th

Dropping Courses

Once a student is officially enrolled and committed to attend class, they must officially drop their classes by the deadline, Wednesday, May 25th if they cannot fulfill the set requirements. If the class is not officially dropped, the student will be charged full tuition and may receive failing grades on their college transcript. If a student decides to drop one course, they will be dropped from all courses as part of the agreement to participate in the Step 2 the U program.

Withdrawing Courses

A withdrawal is considered an attempt to take a class, any withdrawals from classes will result in a W (withdrawn) on the student's college transcript. Note that 3 or more attempts may impact the student's future financial aid. If a student decides to withdraw from one course, they will be withdrawn from all courses as part of the agreement to participate in the Step 2 the U program. The withdraw deadline is Friday, June 24th.
